Create 3 Quick Winter Tablescapes Using Items You Already Own

Epsom Salt Candles – via BHG

Winter Decorating

I’ve shared Epsom salt candle ideas before, but they’re worth showing again. These frosted candles are simple, charming, and a fun project to do with kids. They make a cozy addition to your home all winter long.

I like decorating with items I already have around the house. Keeping a few basic supplies on hand makes it easy to pull together a centerpiece or quick vignette even at the last minute—perfect for those of us who tend to procrastinate.

My go-to supplies include mason jars, Epsom salt, candles, and natural bits like pine cones, branches, leaves, stones, moss, and fruit—real or faux. With those basics I can create seasonal displays without much fuss.

Today’s ideas use things you probably already have, so they’re practical and budget-friendly.

BHG – Mason Jar Floating Candles

Floating candles in mason jars are an adorable and easy option. Add a few cranberries, a sprig of evergreen, or some Epsom salt for a snowy effect. They work well grouped down a table or placed individually around your home.

BHG – Natural Centerpiece

I’m especially fond of simple natural arrangements. A basket filled with pine cones, branches, and seasonal fruit looks fresh from fall through spring. It’s low-maintenance and provides texture and warmth without being fussy.

If you prefer something even easier, my quick wreath centerpiece can be adapted with whatever you have—dried stems, candle holders, or small ornaments—to suit any season.

Wishing you peaceful, joyful days as the holidays approach.
