DIY Cinnamon Stick Candles – Stories A to Z
Can we pause for a moment to talk about fall and holiday scents? It’s one of my favorite parts of the season. When my daughter Courtney and I go shopping, we love to sniff candles—one by one—making exaggerated sniffs and commenting on each scent. It’s a quirky little ritual we both enjoy.
I just adore the scent of fall.
And I love the smell of Christmas.
When I walk through the door, I want my home to smell warm and inviting—vanilla, cinnamon, and cozy spices.
I’m drawn to the aroma of baked goods: pumpkin, spice cakes, and other seasonal treats.
I also treasure the smoky, comforting scent of a wood-burning fire in the fireplace.
I enjoy the aroma of a gingerbread latte as much as the drink itself.
A little sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg on whipped cream feels like a small holiday luxury.
One of my favorite ways to scent the house is simmering spiced cranberry cider on the stove with cinnamon sticks, cloves, and orange slices. It makes the whole home smell incredible. I’ll share the recipe soon because it’s so good.
We usually get a real Christmas tree so the fresh pine scent fills the house all season.
The aromas of fall and the holidays inspire me every year.
Please share your favorite holiday scents in the comments—what candles or methods do you use to scent your home? Do you have a candle warmer? Tell me which scents I should try!
