So, how can YOU contribute a DIY post?
It is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1.
For now, I have set up a single email address for DIY submissions. Please send posts only to DIY [dot] inspired [at] gmail [dot] com. Do not send submissions to other addresses.
2.
Attach clear photos from your DIY project (please size images to about 500 pixels wide) and paste your DIY tips as an article into the body of the email. If you have a blog or website, feel free to include a link and I will provide credit and link back to you.
Submissions can be funny or serious—write in your natural voice. You may send posts at any time. If your tutorial is already on your blog, include the permalink to where the project appears and I can use that content to create a guest post. There is no limit on how many submissions you may send.
3.
You MUST state in the email that you grant permission for your tips and photos to be shared as a guest post. You will be credited. If your submission is approved, it will be published in the DIY channel, which is linked from the main blog.
Please note: I cannot guarantee the use of every submission or the date it will be posted—approval and scheduling are at my discretion. These are guest posts and are not paid at this time.
Posts don’t need to be magazine-perfect—this is about real-life DIY. Keep images and text in generally good quality and taste, and please proofread your submission as I have limited time for editing. I reserve the right to make edits to fit the style of the DIY channel.
Send your posts or links anytime. New guest posts will be added regularly and some projects may be highlighted and linked from time to time on The Inspired Room.
