Welcome to my Christmas house tour. I’m delighted you stopped by. If you’re new here, hello and make yourself at home. We’ve lived in this house for almost five years and over that time we’ve slowly shaped it into a warm, lived-in space. A recent kitchen remodel refreshed the heart of our home and we’ve been adding personal touches and character ever since. Although I’m naturally drawn to older homes, living in a newer builder house has been a fun opportunity to make it our own. You can explore the rest of my home tour anytime.
I prefer a coastal rustic style with a playful touch — simple, cozy, and a little whimsical. I usually decorate a bit at a time, letting inspiration guide small changes so the home feels fresh throughout the season. I enjoy nesting, rearranging, and puttingtering with what I already have to create new looks without overdoing it.
Come on in, look around, and stay as long as you like. The coffee is on.

I’ll share more posts soon with project details and tutorials I couldn’t fit here, including our decorated front porch and a how-to for a fun Christmas project — come back to see those.
This post is already packed with photos, so I’ll mostly let the images speak for themselves. I’ll add links to projects and sources as I have time.

DIY Bottle Lamp & Layered Wreath

Our kitchen remodel brought so much light and functionality to everyday life.

The mug rack is from World Market. Silent Night art is part of a Christmas collection.

We made the wood chunk garland and the mason jar scenes ourselves.

I put Jack and Lily on the deck so they wouldn’t tangle with the tree during the tour, which of course meant they were outside digging and tracking mud. They’re worth the mess — I’ll bathe them later.

The dining room lantern is a favorite accent in this space.

A couple of weeks after I took these photos, I added plates to the wall, which changed the look and added a collected, personal touch.

We used a birch branch found on a walk to hang ornaments and stockings on the mantel this year, which gave it a natural, rustic feel.

I made a rustic starfish wreath that felt right for our coastal-inspired decor.

The JOY letters and framed pieces add simple, joyful focal points. The portal mirror and art are favorites that complement the season without overwhelming the room.

A map wall and subway art bring personality to the hallway and act as a backdrop for seasonal accents.

Sheet music art and classic prints add a timeless, musical mood to our seasonal display.

A favorite canvas adds warm, seasonal typography to the kitchen area.

Silent Night sheet music and other classic prints help shape our holiday atmosphere.

I created a wreath chandelier for the front porch and shared a how-to for making a boxwood wreath chandelier for anyone who wants to try a similar project.

If you use Pinterest, feel free to pin any photos from the tour to save ideas and share with friends.
Thanks for visiting. For a look back, you can compare this year’s decor to earlier house tours to see how our style has evolved.

As a small gift, I’ve shared printable hand-drawn woodland animal gift tags along with ideas for wrapping using supplies you likely already have.
