When you read my new book, A Lovely Life, I hope it inspires you to step into your home and leave the day’s stress behind the door. You deserve a lovely life. A lovely life isn’t about having everything; it’s about noticing peace, joy, and beauty in small moments—those quiet details that may only matter to you and the people you love.

Over the years I learned to appreciate beauty and simplicity while navigating seasons of anxiety, chronic illness, loss, and everyday stress. I wrote about some of those seasons in my other books, including Dwelling and the Dwelling Well journal.
Choosing to notice small, ordinary beauties—what I sometimes call putting on rose-colored glasses—has helped me heal and cultivate gratitude. Honoring gentle rhythms at home keeps me present and helps me find joy in each season, even during hard times.
