My Flea Market Treasure and the Dreamy Idealist Within

Flea Market Metal Arbor

My Latest Flea Market Find!

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We stayed in our pajamas all day, enjoyed delicious food, and relaxed—perfect and very blessed.

Today I visited a local flea market, Uptown Mercantile Marketplace (formerly Flea Market Chicks), and found a beautiful metal arbor. The moment I saw it I imagined it covered in blooming vines this summer, positioned at the edge of our new pea gravel patio. I pictured removing the door/shelf element so the arbor could serve as an inviting entrance to a small area with new vegetable garden boxes. I could also see adding cushions to the benches on each side for a cozy spot to sit.

The arbor wasn’t on my must-have list, but the romantic possibilities were irresistible, so I bought it. I’ll figure out the logistics of getting it home later—one step at a time.

I can already see it becoming a lovely focal point in the backyard. I’m excited for summer and the planting season ahead.

On a lighter note, I took an online personality test recently and it labeled me a “Dreamy Idealist.” That sounds about right—no wonder I romanticize things. If you’re curious, you can try a personality test and see how it describes you. It’s fun and usually just a few questions.

Come back and tell me what your personality type is—I’d love to know!

What’s new around your place?
