TThis time of year invites reflection as we look back on the year ending (and the close of a decade) and turn our attention to what lies ahead.

There’s a lot to consider.

What do we truly want to experience in the year to come—for ourselves, for our lives, and for the small space we call home?

For years I’ve shared a Home Goals worksheet here on The Inspired Room to simplify New Year’s resolutions and help break goals into what really matters.

As we move into 2020, I’m excited to invite you to something new and deeply personal: My Year of Dwelling Well. This series will be my focus for 2020—on the blog, in my home, and in my daily habits—and I hope it will become meaningful to you too.

Many people start the year with ambitious resolutions and enthusiasm that fades within weeks. I prefer a simpler, more achievable approach: small, steady habits, shifts in mindset, and sustainable rhythms that shape everyday life.

I’d love for you to join me in My Year of Dwelling Well. This is more than a blog series or a New Year’s challenge; it’s a way of living intentionally.

I’ll share parts of my Dwelling Well journey here on the blog, on Instagram, and in my groups, and I invite you to pursue your own personal journey alongside me.

My Year of Dwelling Well is about intentional baby steps throughout the year. It’s a mindset shift that improves daily life, refreshes the home into a nourishing sanctuary, supports health and well-being, and creates room for meaningful moments and stronger connections.

By the end of your Year of Dwelling Well, you’ll be able to look back with pride at the personal growth you’ve made and appreciate the positive changes in your life and home.

Last year I released Dwelling: Simple Ways to Nourish Your Home, Body & Soul. Hearing from readers who found inspiration and transformation in that book has been deeply rewarding—sharing our journeys encourages others and reminds us we’re not alone.

When Dwelling was released, I also began work on a companion called Dwelling Well, a monthly journal and wellness planner designed to be flexible, customizable, and personal.

The guided pages are easy to use, even for people who don’t regularly journal. The journal helps you stay focused and balanced with realistic monthly action steps to create an intentional, meaningful, and healthy home and life.

To see videos demonstrating the Dwelling Well journal and how to use it, check the “Journal” highlight in my Instagram stories.

Dwelling Well will be available on January 7th. I’ll use the journal as a companion through the year to organize, reflect, and focus on goals and monthly action steps.

You don’t need the book or journal to participate in the series, but if you want to track meaningful changes this year, I recommend getting a copy of the book and the journal to accompany your journey.
