Fall 2012 Nesting Party Schedule & FAQ — Dates, Venues, Details

Front Entrance Decorating Ideas for Fall

So autumn is almost here — can you believe it? October arrives next week, and with it my favorite season for settling in and making home cozy. I call it Fall Nesting: a month dedicated to decorating, organizing, and savoring everything that makes autumn feel warm and comfortable. Expect new projects, fresh ideas from my home, and plenty of inspiration as I dive into everything I love about fall.

This is a longer post because I want to share the details about this month’s plans, including a link-up party happening this weekend. Stay with me — there’s lots to look forward to!

Q. What is Fall Nesting month?

A. Fall Nesting month is about embracing the season at home. The goal is to reduce clutter, highlight meaningful and beautiful details, and create a cozy atmosphere that helps you enjoy autumn to the fullest. While I aim for simplicity and intention year-round, October is when I turn up the volume on nest-making because there’s something about fall that invites us to linger at home.

WE INTERRUPT THIS POST FOR A NEWS FLASH!
Are you doing a Fall Nesting series too?
There will be a link up for that!

Many readers have told me they’re doing a fall decor or nesting series on their own blogs. I love the idea, so I’ll open a link-up starting this Sunday evening for anyone running a Fall series during October. Whether a handful of blogs or dozens, this will be a place to share and find inspiration. The general Fall Nesting series link-up will go live Sunday, September 30 at 7PM PST. If your content relates to home and fall, it’s a fit — whether it’s a 31-day series or a handful of posts on a schedule that works for you.
