I picture my home as if it should always be tidy and beautiful—styled perfectly, like a scene from a magazine cover I keep in my mind. I jokingly call it “magazine cover-itis.” Despite that persistent fantasy, real life rarely matches the glossy image. Certain corners of my house may look magazine-ready for a moment, but step around the room and you often find what was kept out of the frame.
Most of the time, my home is a happy collision of chaos.
