HHello and happy September, friends. That classic autumn kitchen palette in the photo got me feeling inspired. Even if it feels a little early for some, I’m already looking forward to the shift in seasons — crisp air, warm layers, and all the cozy fall touches.
What are you dreaming of for fall? This time of year I always start seeing my home with fresh eyes and imagining new layers and textures. I spent some time browsing sales this afternoon and found plenty of tempting Labor Day discounts. If you’re after specific cozy, fall-friendly items for your home, tell me what you’re looking for and I’ll keep an eye out.
If you’re in a fall nesting mood, below are some of my favorite stores to shop for homey pieces, plus a few standout deals.

Pottery Barn currently has a notable sale. My leather loveseat in the toffee color remains a favorite — we still love it. It’s a great example of an investment piece that wears well and adds warmth to a room.
I’ve been hunting for a new bed for ages, and Pottery Barn has several styles I adore on sale right now. If you have a favorite bed style, I’d love to hear which one you’d pick.
Also on my radar: a distressed blue coffee table that feels both classic and relaxed, and some rustic bread paddles that remind me of the antique wood paddles I used to hang in an X pattern in my old house. Those kinds of found, weathered pieces add instant character.

Pottery Barn Kids often has surprisingly stylish items scaled for smaller rooms and lower ceilings — I bought the chandelier shown in my guest room from their kids’ shop; it fit the space perfectly. Wayfair is another place I check frequently for good finds across many styles, and it’s worth a browse while sales are active.

I’m smitten with a bone inlay octagon mirror I spotted — it’s on final sale so it would move fast. West Elm is running a “buy more, save more” promotion with free shipping and up to 30% off. Nordstrom often has excellent markdowns and free shipping on certain items, which is worth checking for curated, quality pieces.

Anthropologie’s sale section is one of my favorites — the 40% off items include quirky, textured pieces like tasseled shams that are reversible and add instant personality. Overstock can be a treasure trove too; they often have steep discounts and free shipping over a modest threshold.
Urban Outfitters’ home selection is worth a look for trend-driven accents, and I recently picked up a runner rug that warms up a hallway perfectly — it’s an easy way to bring cozy fall vibes into a space. Many retailers are offering additional discounts or free shipping when you meet a minimum spend.

Joss and Main has an extra 20% off on selected items, which is great for furniture and accessories. Crate and Barrel periodically offers sitewide savings; a friend’s sofa from there remains one of my favorites for scale and comfort — an investment that still looks fresh.

Decorative house lanterns and other seasonal accents are showing up marked down at Pier 1 right now, making it easy to add a few atmospheric touches. Etsy remains a top pick for one-of-a-kind pieces and handmade goods; I love supporting small makers when I can.

For the kitchen, cast iron cookware always looks tempting. A classic skillet or Dutch oven is both functional and beautiful on an open shelf. When brands like Williams Sonoma offer promotions, it can be a good time to pick up a staple piece.
