We recently tackled a major cleanout of our craft and wrapping supplies. In our previous home we enjoyed an entire craft room, which made keeping everything organized effortless. Here, we only have a freestanding shelving unit. It’s far from a room, but it’s what we have for the time being — and it will be a while before it’s presentable enough for photos.
We had to seriously pare down our stash. If we hadn’t, someone in the household might have had a meltdown.
Disclaimer: this is not my craft room.
While searching for craft room and wrapping station organization ideas to inspire our refresh, I found a YouTube video featuring a blogger named Kelli who shares how she organizes her craft and scrapbook supplies. It’s fun to peek into other people’s spaces — and although her setup felt overwhelming at first, a well-equipped room like that would make crafting a lot more enjoyable.

I adore this pegboard wrapping area. It’s compact but highly functional, a great reminder that you don’t need a huge space to achieve excellent organization and efficiency.

A drop-leaf table, like the one from Ikea, makes a perfect small-space gift-wrapping station. Folded down it saves space; opened up it becomes a functional work surface for wrapping gifts and organizing supplies.

Here’s a simple “use what you have” idea to keep ribbons neat and accessible: repurpose containers and holders from around the house so everything has a place.

Small finds and clever repurposing go a long way. For example, a simple hanger can hold rolls of washi tape, and a bucket can corral ribbon spools so they’re easy to reach when wrapping gifts or crafting.
