1. Add a rejuvenating mix of spring colors to your home
I can hardly wait for warmer weather. Yesterday was so pleasant that I opened the windows, blended some favorite natural spring scents for the house, and walked the yard to see what was emerging. After weeks of wind and rain here in Seattle, it felt refreshing to breathe in the spring air, refresh the rooms, and soak up some sunlight.
We’ve only lived in this home through fall and winter, so spring and summer will be especially fun as we explore a new backyard. The yard was one of the things that drew us to this house: a lovely scale with flowing trees, bulbs and blossoms. I’ll share a yard tour another time, but for now I’m celebrating that spring is on its way.
This post offers six simple ways to welcome the sights and scents of spring. What are your favorite parts of the season?

2. Explore your garden — enjoy the blossoms or plant something new

3. Bring fresh blooms indoors to enjoy and inspire

4. Open doors and windows — let fresh air circulate

5. Enjoy a delightful spring scent — make a simple natural spritz or simmer pot to refresh rooms and linens

6. Create a May Day basket or a seasonal door arrangement to welcome neighbors and add charm to your entry
Happy Spring, friends!
