Happy New Year, friends! As we begin a fresh year, I wanted to look back at the decor pieces readers loved most from The Inspired Room in 2024.
After 18 years of sharing affordable, timeless, and stylish home decor, I still love hearing from readers who find something they truly enjoy. Many of the items below are pieces I own or would happily add to my home. I’ve chosen practical, beautiful finds that stand the test of time.
If you missed it, you can also read my 2024 Year in Review on the blog.
Reader favorites from 2024 (many of them are my favorites, too)
Rattan Serving Cart – We use this in our kitchen; it’s versatile for serving, extra storage, or a movable styling surface.
Jute and Cotton Rug – This cotton-jute blend is surprisingly soft and durable. It has a warm, beachy texture, doesn’t shed, and holds up well with pets. We use a rug pad for extra comfort and stability.
Brass Wall Sconces with Linen Shade (set of 2) – These plug-in sconces work beautifully without hardwiring; I’ve used rechargeable bulbs and later hardwired one where it made sense. They add warm, layered lighting to small spaces.
Plaid Throw Blanket – A cozy pattern that’s easy to layer and gift; I featured several plaid options on the blog.

Window Candles – These battery-operated window candles create a peaceful glow on winter evenings. We’ve gifted them to family because they’re so charming and reliable.
Buffalo Check Curtains (Chambray) – A classic pattern that adds casual cottage charm to windows.
Hanging Lit Stars – We hang these on our porch each year; they bring a cozy, traditional glow to outdoor spaces.
Scalloped Shade Lamp – A small lamp with a woven scalloped shade that creates instant warmth. It comes in multiple colors and sizes; I own several for different corners of the house.
Buffalo Check Curtains (Portabello) – These cafe-style curtains were popular with readers and are lovely for kitchens and cozy corners.
Leather Armchair – The loveseat version has been a long-lasting favorite in our home; leather only improves with age.
Bamboo Window Shades – We installed these in our home; the light russet color brings warmth and texture. They’re a natural choice for coastal and cottage-style rooms.

Jute-Wrapped Chandelier with Shades – A great dining room focal point that can be customized with different shade options.

Blue and White Chinoiserie Lamp – A classic accent that stood out last year; I love the bird motif and the timeless look it brings to a room.
Blue Rocking Chairs – A cheerful addition to our back porch, practical and pretty for outdoor living.
Remote Control Outlets – Handy for lamps and holiday lighting, these make turning multiple lights on and off simple.
Electric Standing Desk – A compact sit-stand option my daughter uses; great for work-from-home setups in small spaces.

Reversible Throw Blanket – Lightweight, machine washable, and super soft. These blankets come in many patterns and are perfect for sofas, chairs, and bench seats.
Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner – A favorite cleaning tool for rugs and furniture that helps keep home textiles looking fresh.
Rechargeable Portable Cordless Lamps – Lightweight, rechargeable lamps that work well for temporary or flexible lighting throughout the home.

Blue and White Mug – A well-sized, attractive mug that was in high demand in 2024.

Botanical Rug – My new bedroom rug has a joyful botanical pattern with soft colors and charming details that make the room feel refreshed every day.
