My husband brought me a pot of blooming white tulips today. It was a sweet surprise—perhaps a gentle reminder about the kitchen blinds—but mostly it was just a lovely gesture. Tulips are my favorite, and their freshness inspired me to give the dining room a simple spring refresh this afternoon.

I removed the table runners and left the table mostly bare, arranging only the tulips, a small tray of wheatgrass I picked up at the grocery store, and a tiny bird’s nest for a light, natural touch. The result feels clean, seasonal, and effortless.
The table still has unpainted leaves on its surface—yes, I know—but I’m embracing that little imperfection for now. It adds character, and the table will get a full repaint as a future project when time allows.
Many of you have asked about the dining room light fixture. It’s an outdoor lantern sourced from Pottery Barn.
Around Christmas I moved a narrow console table in from the space we once called our living room. It fits beautifully in the dining room, even with chairs pulled out, and provides a handy surface for a lamp, a buffet setup, or seasonal displays. Apologies for the little speck of green Easter grass on the chair—I just noticed that and left it in the photos for authenticity.
Right now the console hosts my Easter bunnies and a few spring vignettes. I enjoy those small touches of the season scattered through the house; they make the rooms feel lighter and more welcoming.

Have you brought in any touches of spring yet?
