Country Living – Kelley and Co.
I’ve been enjoying almost-summer weather lately — warm, sunny days that make me want to freshen up the house. Is it sunny where you are? The brighter days have inspired me to lighten my decor for the season and get ready for summer, which is arriving quickly.
I don’t usually do full-on “spring” decorating, but I like to swap a few accessories, bring in more greenery, and add lighter, coastal or tropical touches this time of year. Those small changes make the whole room feel brighter and more relaxed.
Recently I shared updates to several rooms: my dining room, master bedroom, and a bit of my kitchen. I’ll be showing more of our outdoor spaces soon, but the living room is the space I’m still figuring out.
I’m ready for a change there — the winter sectional I had in that room is going back downstairs, and I’d like a new sofa. I have a few ideas but haven’t settled on a direction yet. I’ll post about what I’m considering so we can talk about it soon.
While I decide, I collected some rooms that inspired me and wanted to share them with you. These pictures capture light, airy palettes, layered textures, and relaxed, coastal-infused styling — all things I’m leaning toward for the living room refresh.

I noticed the house in the last two photos was also featured in the movie Home Again. One of the pieces that caught my eye was a daybed in the living room — similar to mine — which shows how a single, well-chosen piece can define the feel of the space.
What room are you working on right now? I’d love to hear what you’re up to!
