Do you like rugs in the kitchen? I do. Rugs add cozy texture, pattern and color, and I love them in busy rooms—but they can get messy quickly in a high-traffic space. Our small kitchen has an exterior door, dogs running through, and lots of cooking, so a washable rug was an appealing solution. I recently bought a new rug for the kitchen that I absolutely love.
Beyond being cute, it’s machine washable. It’s a Ruggable rug, and I think it’s ideal for this spot. These rugs are reasonably priced and come in many colors and patterns, so swapping one in is an easy way to refresh a room for the season.
You can also find Ruggable rugs on Amazon.

We have a larger Ruggable in our lower level and it’s been great—especially in a room with an exterior door where dirt gets tracked in. The rugs include a special rug pad that anchors the cover so it stays in place, which is useful in dining areas where rugs can shift under chairs. Rug covers are sold separately, so you can change the look without replacing the pad.

Ruggable rugs are thinner than many traditional rugs, which makes them easy to vacuum and keeps them looking neat. They feel soft underfoot. The brand also offers some new plush styles I haven’t tried yet.
I’ve washed these rugs in my own washer and dryer and they come out looking great each time.
Simplicity matters to me, so any product that makes daily life easier is a winner. If you’ve hesitated about trying a Ruggable, I recommend giving one a try. Our dogs Jack and Lily approve, too.

Disclosure: I was gifted this rug to share on Instagram, but this blog post is not sponsored and these thoughts are my own. I often get questions about these rugs and wanted to share my experience here.
Below I’ll share some of my favorite designs—there are so many great styles! (Click the photos for more details on each.)
