T Some of you on Twitter and Facebook (feel free to follow me at facebook.com/theinspiredroom) may already have heard snippets about my recent unplanned, life-threatening surgery. Thank you so much for the well wishes, concern and prayers. I’m now beginning the recovery process and expect to be fine. I won’t be filling the blog’s front page with graphic medical details, but I do want to share updates in a more appropriate place.
If you’re curious for more personal updates, you’ll be able to follow a new channel on The Inspired Room called INSPIRED!. That section will collect personal anecdotes, behind-the-scenes stories and other randomness you might enjoy. You can check it whenever you want for extra context and day-to-day updates.
Like our new DIY channel, INSPIRED! will be separate from the main front page but still easily accessible from the site. I’ll use that channel to post the dramatic story of the past week and other behind-the-scenes glimpses into life as ideas and randomness occur to me. I think it will be a fun and useful addition. Look for new buttons linking to these categories in the sidebar very soon.
Blogging coherently (yes, that earlier typo was courtesy of pain medication) has been challenging, so please forgive any odd phrasing until I’m fully recovered. The Inspired Room will continue as usual, and in the meantime keep an eye out for the new behind-the-scenes posts, DIY ideas and other creative content coming soon. First up will be the account of this week’s emergency — stay tuned. For now, I’m going to rest.
