Green Industrial Lighting Ideas Inspired by Nature

Last week I wrote about hunting for green accents in the family room. I’ve also been planning to introduce green in other areas of the house. My laundry room—the second-to-last room that still had the old “swine” paint—has just been repainted white and it already feels so much better. The small space benefits from the fresh white coat; it feels cleaner, lighter and brighter. Inspired by white rooms paired with green industrial lighting, I decided the laundry room would be a great spot to try that look.

At the moment the laundry room is lit by a bulky fluorescent ceiling fixture that has never inspired me. I’ve been meaning to replace it since we moved in. I already chose a flush-mount green light from Barn Light Electric and the fixture is waiting in a box ready to be installed as soon as the paint is dry. It won’t be long before this simple swap gives the room a more finished, styled appearance.

Below are several beautiful spaces that inspired the color and lighting scheme for my laundry room. Each example shows how a crisp white backdrop lets green metal pendants or flush fixtures stand out, creating a fresh, vintage-industrial vibe that still feels warm and inviting.

Enjoy these images and happy Monday!
