I‘ve never felt as cozy in my home as I do now. I’m so happy with our new fireplace!
A glowing fire can completely change a room’s atmosphere and how you feel in your home. Our new Napoleon gas fireplace insert is one of the simplest, most impactful updates we’ve made. A couple of years ago we refreshed the fireplace with paint, which gave the living room a clean, updated look on a budget. After that, we took our time deciding what to do next, evaluating both needs and wishes for the space before committing to a larger project.
I like to be deliberate about home decisions—sometimes to a fault—but that careful approach helped us choose a solution that fits our lifestyle and aesthetics.

Fast forward to this summer’s decision…
Our priority for the fall was to make the house feel extra cozy. What we needed most to achieve that was a real fire. Installing the gas insert delivered warmth, ambiance, and a renewed pull to spend time in this room.
Now we know we made the right choice.
The Napoleon gas insert feels high quality and dependable. The heat it produces is comforting in a way that’s different from running the furnace — it’s cozy, immediate, and welcoming, and it changed how we use the room.
We appreciate the convenience of the remote control — a simple press changes the room’s mood and temperature instantly.
The fireplace now naturally draws us into the space; it feels like the heart of our living room.
After just a few weeks, we’re using this room throughout the day and evening. I work here during the day, and in the evenings we curl up to read, talk, or enjoy dinner by the fire. The atmosphere encourages lingering — whether watching the sunset, playing games, or simply relaxing.
We can’t wait for the holidays. We’re grateful to have a warm, inviting fireplace to enjoy all winter long.
