Merry Christmas, friends. Welcome to a short video tour of our Christmas home. We moved in just two months ago and feel blessed to be “home for Christmas” for the first time in this house.
This year looks different for our family: for the first time in more than thirty years, we won’t have any kids with us for the holiday. It will be quieter and a little bittersweet, and that wasn’t part of our original plan. A sudden cold snap, an incoming snowstorm and a possible health concern for one family member changed those plans. Thankfully, no one in our family is sick, and we all agreed it was best to stay apart this year.
We’ll be sharing the day over Zoom and doing our best to celebrate together from a distance. Even when plans shift, we find reasons to be grateful. We’re focusing on the true meaning of the season and thankful for our health and each other. We know many people face harder or lonelier circumstances at the holidays, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
From our home to yours, we send much love and peace this Christmas.
