Awhile back I shared news about an event I’m excited to be part of: Bloom Bash. The two-day creative workshop will take place in Seattle this October, and I’m honored to be the keynote speaker. Bloom Bash is designed for women who dream of running a successful creative business or who want to expand their skills in blogging, branding, photography and design.
Since launching The Inspired Room in 2008, I’ve learned a great deal about running a business, growing a blog, and building a creative brand. Each step has been a learning opportunity, and I’m looking forward to sharing practical tips and honest lessons about creating and expanding a creative business from the ground up. Mostly, I’m excited to meet and collaborate with attendees in a friendly, hands-on setting.
I’m thrilled to join an inspiring lineup of presenters who bring a wide range of expertise. Featured speakers include Jennifer Jones of iHeart Organizing, Jenny Sanders of Graceline Art, contributor Michaela Warner of Michaela Noelle Designs, Ashley Slater of Ashley Slater Photography, Ashley Beyer of Tinge Floral, Lauren Hooker of Elle & Company, and Lora Grady of Lora Grady Photography. Together they offer expertise in organization, calligraphy, photography, floral design and styling.
This event will be unique and immersive. The first day features sessions on blogging, social media, photography and design. The second day emphasizes hands-on learning with workshops in calligraphy, floral styling and a styled photo shoot—ideal for anyone who learns best by doing and observing creative techniques in action.
Bloom Bash will be hosted at the Rainier Chapter House in Capitol Hill, Seattle — a beautiful historic venue patterned after Mount Vernon. The space provides a memorable backdrop for styled shoots and hands-on sessions, and will make for striking photographs as attendees practice styling and photographing creative setups.
On day two, attendees will participate in a styled wedding shoot, photographing models and carefully arranged tablescapes. Dishware and décor for the shoot will be provided by BHLDN, who are partnering with the workshop. This practical session gives participants a chance to practice composition, lighting and styling in a collaborative setting.
