Guess what? The beginning of July marked my eighth blog anniversary. I’m now starting my ninth year of writing at The Inspired Room, and I’m still as excited about it as ever. I had intended to celebrate that milestone, but moving our life across the water took over—moving really does use up every bit of energy you have.
I’ll share a reflective post soon about those first eight years, but for now I want to say how grateful I am to you, my readers. Your support has brought so much joy and growth to this journey, and I truly appreciate every one of you.
It’s a thrill to begin a new season of blogging from our “new” old house in Seattle. When I started with no expectations I never imagined I’d still be sharing my home—indeed, several homes—years later. There are many new adventures and projects ahead, and I can’t wait to explore them with you.
Before blogging, The Inspired Room began as a decorating business. I didn’t expect that would eventually lead to the chance to grow the business and build meaningful partnerships with brands I trust. Those collaborations allow me to stretch professionally and personally while continuing to provide useful, relevant content for this blog.
As I move into year nine, I’m excited to announce a new partnership: I’ve been selected as one of four Brand Ambassadors for Samsung Home Appliances. This is a dream collaboration and I’ll be working with Samsung over the next six months.
I’m honored to be part of a group of talented bloggers who make up the ambassador team, and I look forward to sharing what we create together. Samsung’s home appliances are thoughtfully designed to work efficiently so people can spend more time on what matters. Their Own The Weekend initiative really speaks to me—giving back weekends for the things that bring us joy.
Appliances should fade into the background and simply do their job well, freeing us to enjoy life. I’ll be sharing the behind-the-scenes moments that matter most to me on Instagram using the #owntheweekend tag, so follow along to see snippets of our weekends in Seattle and how simple appliance solutions help our days run more smoothly.
I’m genuinely excited about this partnership, a fresh season of blogging, and a new chapter in real life.
