Introducing: The Inspired Room Community!
After hearing from so many of you, I’m thrilled to invite you to join The Inspired Room Community on Facebook. A few weeks ago I asked if you’d like a private group for friends and kindred spirits from The Inspired Room, and the response was an enthusiastic yes!
So let’s make it happen.
Years ago my daughters and I ran a community blog called Home Love Stories where readers shared photos of their homes. We loved that sense of connection, and since many of you enjoyed it too, we decided to revive the community idea. For now, a Facebook group feels like the easiest, most accessible way to gather and stay in touch—simple, friendly, and fun. I hope you’ll join us!

Over the years I’ve been amazed at how the internet can bring like-minded people together and create encouraging, supportive communities. Many of you connect from your homes, at your screens, and form friendships and conversations you might never have had otherwise. That’s been such a gift.
Because online spaces have changed, finding that same sense of community can feel harder. This group aims to bring our readers closer in a smaller, welcoming space where we can learn from and encourage one another.
The Facebook format makes it easy to get to know each other—and for me to get to know YOU better.
I’ve led a private group for the Dwell Well Collective for a few years and have seen how close-knit and encouraging a community can become. My daughters and I are active in home and wellness education and enjoy connecting with women in that space. If you’re already part of the Dwell Well Collective, you’re welcome there too—you can belong to both groups.
Our new group, The Inspired Room Community, is free and open to readers who subscribe to the blog. To join, please subscribe to the newsletter or blog posts and confirm your subscription; then request membership in the Facebook group and answer the membership questions so we can approve you.

The Inspired Room Community
The group will be community-led, meaning members will drive the conversation with posts related to home life and the spirit of The Inspired Room. While I won’t be posting regular design advice there—since I’m still blogging, writing a new book, and managing other projects—I will pop in with comments when I can. My daughters and I will be active and excited to get to know you.
This will be a space to be authentic: share photos, ask home-related questions, show favorite corners, seasonal ideas, remodeling projects, daily routines, and treasured finds. Expect thoughtful, supportive responses—this group is positive and inclusive. Mean behavior or promotion-oriented posts won’t be allowed.
One small request: please continue commenting on the blog. I read your comments and they mean a lot to me. Blog comments also enter you into our Surprise Box giveaways.
Joining is free. The simple requirements are that you’re familiar with the blog (so we avoid uninvited guests), you subscribe to the newsletter or blog posts, and you’re a kind person.
To welcome new members, we’ve set up an introductions post and are hosting a group-exclusive giveaway in addition to the regular Surprise Box giveaways on the blog and Instagram.
