HHappy Monday! This morning I woke with my window open and felt that crisp edge to the air that means fall is coming. I love this season — the cooler mornings, the return of rain in the Northwest (which we need), and the inevitable parade of backpacks and muddy shoes. And boots. I admit I get unusually excited for boot season.
Each autumn I daydream about having a true mudroom: a defined space or hallway with hooks, shelves, cabinets and cubbies for shoes, coats and muddy gear. Since I’m between homes at the moment, I’m living in that dream for now. Someday soon I’ll settle into a new place and maybe there will be a mudroom; until then, I’ll enjoy imagining the perfect one.
On a side note: if you subscribe to this blog and use a Comcast email, you may have missed posts since June. A glitch caused about 1,000 bounces and stopped delivery. We’re aware of the issue and hope you’re receiving emails again. If you still aren’t getting updates, please tell me so I can follow up.
If you’re curious why we’re temporarily without a home, you can catch up on our moving story in the archive.
Thanks for reading — I’ll share a house update later this week.
