Autumn Home Tour: Cozy Fall Decor Ideas — Part 2

Fall Decorating - Nature

HHello and welcome to the first day of fall! I’m so excited — I even wore boots last night. If you love this season as much as I do, come on in. Keep your boots on or kick them off and make yourself at home. We keep things casual around here, but that doesn’t stop me from getting giddy about cozying up the house and adding seasonal touches.

Fall Home Tours

If this feels like déjà vu, it might be because I’ve invited you into my fall home tour before — I share a tour each year. This time I’m joining the White Buffalo Styling blogger tour to give you a few more peeks at how the rooms look so far this season. So glad you’re here!

If you’re joining the tour from the previous stop, welcome!

Fall decorating ideas - console table and pinecone jar lamps

I finally filled my glass HomeGoods lamps with seasonal items like pinecones and cinnamon sticks. It was one of those simple projects I’d kept putting off and I’m so glad I did — they instantly warmed the look of the glass and feel perfectly fall.

These lamps are so much fun because they’re easy to change with the seasons. I previously shared ideas for fillable glass lamps, and now I’ll be rotating decor inside these often. It’s a quick craft that looks polished without needing advanced skills.

I’ve also been enjoying bringing in traditional fall colors — warm browns with pops of rusty red, green, and maroon. Neutral rooms make it easy to experiment with color seasonally. When the mood strikes for greens and rusty reds alongside the usual grays and blues, I go for it. Decorating should be playful.

Simple Fall Mantel - The Inspired Room

Here’s a closer look at the mantel I showed in the earlier tour. The Restoration Hardware mirror provides a calm focal point so I can add a few seasonal touches around it without overdoing it. I prefer a simple anchor piece and then let the decor complement it.

Cozy Fall Blankets

One of my favorite ways to get ready for fall is to make the house cozy with blankets. I dream of a big antique armoire piled with beautiful throws like you might see in a shop, but for now I have a few cozy Target blankets on a small shelf. It’s a start — and when the temperature drops, I’ll be curled up under one of them.

Fall in the kitchen

In the kitchen I start craving warm breakfasts like oatmeal with cinnamon, brown sugar, and walnuts. Fall also inspires me to bake more and to style open shelves with seasonal accents. Fresh ingredients and simple seasonal touches make the kitchen feel inviting.

Kitchen Sink and Fall Bouquet- The Inspired Room

We found a blue-and-white vase at Goodwill that I’ve filled with cuttings from the yard and seasonal blooms from Trader Joe’s. I love using fresh flowers and natural materials; they bring life to a room and make me smile every time I pass by.

Memorable gatherings

Shorter days mean more candlelight, which I absolutely love. Candles and lanterns make evenings feel special and cozy. I’ve arranged a simple tray with pumpkins and candles for an easy seasonal vignette that’s perfect for entertaining or quiet nights in.

Fall Bedroom Decorating = The Inspired Room

In the bedroom it’s time for sweater-textured pillows and cable-knit blankets to add warmth and comfort. Little touches like these transform a space into a cozy retreat for the season.

Cozy Fall Entry Decorating

The entry is simple but welcoming. My fiddle leaf fig is still thriving, which is always a relief. Small, living elements help make the home feel fresh and seasonal.

I’m also continuing a “21 Days of Loving Fall” series where I’ll share small ways I embrace the season. I’ve posted the first day and plan to share more ideas over the coming weeks — simple rituals and decor that make fall feel special.
