Refreshing Color Scheme and Theme Ideas for a Baby Boy Nursery

Fresh and Fun Colors for a Baby Nursery!

Years of home projects I never photographed well or shared on the blog sometimes make me a little wistful. Before I started blogging, we renovated bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms and kitchens, laid flagstone paths and worked on many garden projects that lived only in my memory and in grainy snapshots. I’m grateful now that blogging lets me open up my home and share those stories with you.

Being able to connect with readers feels a lot like chatting with neighbors—sharing what we’re doing, what we love, and staying connected as life progresses. That connection is one of the things I love most about blogging.

One of those earlier projects holds a special place in my heart: my son Luke’s nursery. Although I don’t have polished reveal photos or step-by-step documentation from that time, I recently had the chance to write about it on My Colortopia. Luke is almost twelve now and we’ve long since moved from that house, but creating a cozy, personalized nursery for him was a joyful experience. He was and is a very wanted and much-loved little boy.

I enjoy revisiting those pre-blogging projects. Even with imperfect photos and basic equipment, I poured the same care into designing rooms then as I do now. Going back through those memories reminds me how creative and fun those days were.

Head over to My Colortopia to see the nursery’s theme and a picture of my little guy: My Colortopia. You can leave comments there and ask questions about your own nursery plans.

PS. I’ve been working on some exciting updates for The Inspired Room that I’ll reveal soon. I love how blogging can grow and evolve, and I’m reorganizing behind the scenes so I can share more of the things I love with you. Stay tuned for more!
