Vanessa Francis
Greetings! A quick update: the round window that was scheduled to arrive last week never made it — it simply “wasn’t on the truck.” I was disappointed, but installation is expected this week. Delays have become the norm for this project, though they’ve often led to better outcomes. We should be moving forward again soon and I can’t wait to share the more interesting phases of the project with you.
In the meantime, a reader reminded me that if you’re not ready to install a round window, a round mirror can deliver a very similar effect. I love that suggestion. Round mirrors are one of my favorite accessories: they introduce a soft circular shape, reflect light, and instantly add visual interest to a space.
I’ll admit I have several mirrors — many of them round — leaning against walls, waiting for the remodeling to finish so I can finally hang them. Today I wanted to share a round-up of round mirrors from my home and from sources I admire, to inspire how a mirror can transform a room much like a window would.
