Pine Cone Hill
I’m so ready for spring. While I always enjoy cozy autumn decorating, this time of year I start craving a lighter, fresher look throughout the house. I find myself wanting to swap heavy textiles and dark accents for brighter colors, lighter fabrics and layered textures that signal the new season. The urge to refresh feels almost magnetic—bring on spring, sunshine, and open windows!
To celebrate the change of seasons, I’m hosting a lively Twitter party focused on spring decorating, and I couldn’t be more excited to be joined by designer Annie Selke. Annie is the creative force behind Dash & Albert and Pine Cone Hill, two brands known for their beautiful rugs, bedding and textiles that make it easy to update your home for spring. Her signature mix of pattern, color and comfort is a perfect fit for seasonal inspiration.
Annie has a knack for bringing rooms to life with simple, thoughtful updates, and during the party we’ll share her tips for refreshing bedrooms, living rooms and everyday spaces without a complete overhaul. Expect ideas for swapping accessories, mixing new textiles with what you already own, layering rugs, adding light-enhancing accents and creating a fresh color story that carries throughout the home. I’ll be asking Annie for practical, easy-to-do suggestions you can try this weekend.
There will be prizes, too—so you won’t want to miss it.
If you haven’t tried a Twitter party before, tonight is a great opportunity. Twitter parties move quickly, but they’re a fun way to exchange ideas and connect with many people who love seasonal decorating. My friend Donna from Funky Junk Interiors put together a helpful guide explaining how to participate in a Twitter party and how to use tools like TweetChat, which can make following the conversation easier. If you’re new, check a guide or two before the event and jump in—you’ll pick it up fast.
The format will include a few prepared questions, live responses from Annie and me, and plenty of time for you to share photos, ask follow-up questions and offer your own spring decor tips. Whether you’re refreshing one room or planning a full seasonal tidy and swap, there will be practical, achievable ideas to inspire you. We’ll also highlight small projects and styling tricks that make a big impact without spending a fortune.
Join us tonight on Twitter at 8:00 PM ET (5:00 PM PT). To participate, follow the hashtag #StirCrazyASC and be sure to follow @AnnieSelkeCo and @theinspiredroom on Twitter. Invite friends by sharing the event graphic on social platforms or mentioning the hashtag—the more, the merrier. We plan to keep the conversation upbeat, helpful and full of real-life decorating suggestions you can use immediately.
Before the party, take a quick look around a room you’d like to refresh: notice what feels heavy or dated, which colors you want to keep, and where a pop of pattern or a softer fabric could make a difference. Bring any questions or photos to the party so Annie and I can offer tailored suggestions. We’ll cover ideas for pillows, bedding, rugs, tabletop vignettes, simple DIY accents and seasonal swaps that brighten a space while keeping it comfortable and livable.
We’re looking forward to a lively, inspiring evening and hope you’ll join us. If you love seasonal decorating, practical styling tips and a chance to win some lovely prizes, this is a perfect event. See you tonight!
