HHello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. Today I’m opening my home for a simple fall tour and sharing spaces from FIVE fellow bloggers who are joining the tour with me. It’s a cozy way to celebrate the season together—links to their tours are included below.
If you’re new here, I’m Melissa. I’ve been blogging at The Inspired Room since 2007 and have written several books. I live in a white brick house in Seattle with my two pups, Jack and Lily, who love tour days. We’ve lived in this house for three years and have been gradually making it our own—painting inside and out, remodeling the kitchen, installing Dutch doors, adding shutters and blinds, updating light fixtures and some flooring, and working on the exterior deck.
Every year I share a Fall Nesting series, and my approach is intentionally simple: add cozy textures, enjoy seasonal rituals, and let the home evolve naturally. I don’t usually go heavy on themed decor, but I love bringing in warmth and comfortable layers that invite lingering.
