Falling for Fall: Cozy Ideas to Celebrate Autumn Day 6

It’s almost officially the first day of fall, and I’ve begun freshening up my front porch. We recently painted the deck—the same treatment we gave the back deck—and added a couple of new rugs to brighten the space. The peacock wreath I made last year is still hanging on the door and continues to look great; it even stayed up through the holidays and spring. The wreath is a simple, lasting touch that keeps the entry feeling welcoming.

To add a pop of seasonal color, I filled an old, rusted iron fireplace wood holder with purple mums. The contrast of the aged metal and the vibrant blooms makes the corner cheerful and inviting.

And for a little extra charm, my thrifted owl got a fall makeover with some added natural accents.

How are you decorating your porch for fall this year? Even small changes—new mats, a fresh coat of paint, a seasonal wreath, or a cluster of mums—can transform an entryway into a warm seasonal welcome.
