Greetings! Last week I refreshed my front porch with new flowers and the change made such a difference. The orange blossom scent is so lovely it feels like a little luxury. Over the weekend I decided to finish updating the rest of the space so I can enjoy it more as the weather warms.
I love spending time on the porch in spring and summer, so I rearranged a bit to make room for two wingback outdoor chairs I found on sale. They immediately elevated the look and feel of the porch—comfortable, stylish, and unexpectedly high-end for the price.
My porch has become a favorite quiet spot—an escape from the indoor bustle. I had other chairs here before that were fine, but these new wingbacks are the ones I reach for now. The previous seats were moved to other places around the yard so nothing went to waste.
I adore the shape, color and texture of the wingback chairs. They have a sculptural silhouette that feels both cozy and refined. I find myself sitting in them with a book or enjoying a quiet conversation with a friend.
One unexpected success was moving an old dresser onto the porch. It was placed there on a whim when I had no spot for it inside, and with the porch roof it has weathered the winter well. It now serves as a practical and charming surface for plants and accessories.
I also found a small wooden fruit box at a flea market that makes a perfect planter. Using unexpected pieces—like crates, carts, and repurposed furniture—adds personality and texture to the porch while keeping the design relaxed and affordable.
The refreshed arrangement—two wingbacks, a dresser used as a console, and a mix of flea-market finds—feels welcoming and cozy. The setup works equally well for quiet mornings with coffee, afternoons with a good book, or evening conversations.
Another favorite is a small plant cart I picked up at a flea market. It’s become a fun and practical mobile planter that brings variety and height to the porch arrangement.
With these changes I’m ready for summer and feel like I have a little outdoor office—a calming, attractive place to work, read, or relax.
