Escape to New York: Ultimate Weekend Guide for First-Time Visitors

Hello dearies!!

I’m so happy to be back and catching up with you. I just returned from a short weekend trip to New York and I am still buzzing from the experience.

I traveled light—no laptop or fancy camera, just my phone, a pocket camera and a carry-on. It felt wonderful to be mostly unplugged for a few days and simply soak in the city.

Curious what I did?

I lingered in cozy cafes, savoring cappuccinos and watching the city go by.

I enjoyed leisurely meals at local restaurants, lingering over good food and conversation.

Window-shopped through boutiques in SoHo, admiring design details and unique finds.

I wandered charming streets, paused to appreciate the beautiful old architecture, and felt the layers of history beneath my feet.

I spent time by the water, breathing in the sea air and taking a slower pace for a while.

The trip was extra special because I was celebrating my daughter’s college graduation and Mother’s Day. I got to share the weekend with my oldest daughter, my mom and my sister—who took the photo above.

I also ran into a few familiar faces—like Kate and Nate—and had a wonderful time. More on that later; for now I’m excited to be home and spending time with my husband and son.

Stay tuned for more from my New York adventure and a chance to enter a $250 gift card giveaway.

So happy to be home again!
