Hello, friends! Happy Saturday — I hope you’re doing well. Here are a few things happening around our house lately:
- I’ve been spending cozy hours by the fireplace writing a new book.
- I shared my daily coffee ritual in my Instagram stories and enjoyed the small, simple routine.
- Though we haven’t been out much, FaceTime, Marco Polo and Zoom have kept us connected. We had a family Zoom birthday for my nephew Evan who turned twenty — it’s wild that my son is almost twenty as well.
- I hosted a virtual craft night with my Dwell Well Collective wellness group on Zoom and made a soft scrub and spring diffuser bombs. If you join the group this month there are some fun welcome gifts and goodies available.
- Watching the peonies bloom has been a small daily joy.
- I baked chocolate chip cookies using a one-bowl vegan recipe, substituting gluten-free flour for my batch.
- I ordered an oversized blue glass lamp for the living room that I love, and a small wooden stool to style next to it.
- I flipped through a book that inspired me to plan cut flower gardens for the season.
- I washed the slipcover on my white sofa — for anyone curious, I’ve shared a FAQ about how it’s holding up and care tips.
- I revisited one of my favorite decorating books and dreamed up new possibilities for the home.
- Some online window shopping resulted in a couple of cute spring tops on sale, and I admired a number of pretty decor pieces at a shop running weekend sales.
- Courtney and I refreshed our “shop my house” selections with updated sources and new, similar decor finds.
- We’ve been getting groceries and household essentials delivered — Whole Foods/Amazon, Instacart, and our customizable monthly wellness box for supplements and skincare. Home delivery has been a big time-saver for us.
- We briefly ran out of our beloved oat milk for coffee (a minor household crisis), but the next-day delivery saved the day and our coffee routine was restored.
- Courtney gifted me adorable floral spring shoes for Mother’s Day and I’m excited to wear them soon.
This holiday weekend I’m staying home but plan to do some online shopping since there are lots of good sales right now. I’ll be browsing favorites from Serena & Lily, Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, Target, World Market and more. If I find great deals I’ll share them.
How are things where you are? We’re all experiencing different rhythms and routines these days, so I’d love to hear what’s new with you.
