Slide Out Kitchen Pantry Drawers via Heather Bullard
It’s demo day in our kitchen. After a year of planning and dreaming, the big day is finally here. We’ve set up a temporary kitchen in the laundry room, which makes the remodel feel very real. It’s not ideal — we don’t have a sink or dishwasher — but we do have cabinets, counter space, and an electric skillet and microwave to get by. Today we’ll move the refrigerator downstairs so the temporary setup will be ready and functional.

Although the new kitchen will still be small, it will offer much more functional storage than before. I’ll share the layout and cabinet details as the project progresses, but one organizational feature I’m especially excited about is the slide-out pantry drawers. We had them in our previous kitchen and found they were fantastic for organizing and maximizing space.
