My Final Book Release: Major Announcement and What’s Next

Hi friends! Last night, sitting in this very chair, I turned in the photos and manuscript for my eleventh and final book—for now, at least. It felt like a milestone after years of planning and work.

Although I officially started this book two years ago, the contract goes back seven years, so sending the finished pages to the publisher was an especially satisfying moment. It’s been a long, rewarding journey to reach this point.

I’m deeply grateful for the encouragement I’ve received from readers over my thirteen years of blogging and writing about the home. The support from so many kindred spirits around the world, and the guidance of my agent Ruth, opened the door to creating beautiful books alongside my daughters Courtney and Kylee and our talented team at Harvest House.

It feels like a lifetime ago that I began this ambitious side-project of writing a book. I had no idea it would grow into such a meaningful part of my life and work. Looking back at that first announcement is so nostalgic and joyful.

What began as a plan for eight books expanded to eleven when we added a coloring book, a journal, and an extra decorating title. Over seven years we completed ten of those books. The entire experience has been unexpected, humbling, and wonderful.

You can find all of my books so far on my books page.

Now I’m planning a long winter nap—figuratively speaking—but I’ll also begin the new year feeling grateful, proud, and excited for what comes next. I can’t wait to watch this final book come to life over the next year and to share it with you when it’s ready.

Thank you for joining me on this adventure. Wishing you a happy new year, friends!
