Inspiring Room Tours and DIY Decorating Ideas

SOMETHING NEW: ROOM TOURS & DIY

I’ve been blogging long enough now to know that you are a lot like me.

You enjoy peeking into other people’s homes—not to pry into personal things, but to admire the decor. It’s natural to be curious about how others arrange their spaces, choose finishes, or style a shelf. A charming medicine cabinet is neat, but mostly it’s the overall look that draws you in.

Maybe you’re the sort of person who glances into windows as you walk or drive by, curious about how a room is styled. Maybe you notice the small details—the hardware on a kitchen cabinet or how the curtains are hung—and want to remember them for later.

At a party, if the host steps away, you might find yourself admiring a fixture or studying a drape treatment for a moment. I admit I do that. And I bet you do too.

You are my kind.

So I’m excited to share something I’ve been developing quietly for the last three months. From the start, this blog has celebrated other bloggers and their ideas. Often I come across a beautiful room or a clever DIY and want to shout, “Look at this!” right away. Since I can’t do that out loud through the internet, I built a better way to collect and share those finds.

Now I can highlight projects and rooms as I discover them, featuring the creators so you can explore their blogs and get inspired yourself.

Today I’m introducing two pages on the blog: DIY and Room Tours.

You may have noticed these pages appearing over the last few weeks, or seen links to DIY and Room Tour posts on social media. I hadn’t officially announced them here because they still needed a few design tweaks. I can be a little obsessive about perfecting details.

But now they’re ready, and I’m thrilled to introduce them to you.

I invite you to visit the ROOM TOURS and DIY sections and browse through the collections. I’ve only just begun adding content, but over time these pages will grow into vast resources of inspiring rooms and projects you can explore. If you enjoy a particular post, consider visiting the original blogger’s site and showing some love with a comment or a social media like—those interactions mean a lot to creators.

Comments on the aggregated pages are intentionally turned off so that you’ll visit the original posts and leave feedback on the bloggers’ own sites. They’ve put time and heart into their work and deserve recognition there.

Enjoy! MUAH!

PS. I owe a big thank-you to everyone who helps keep this blog running. A special shout-out goes to Debbie, who spent hours on Skype patiently coding and implementing my ideas for these pages. She handled my rapid-fire suggestions without complaint and helped bring the concept to life.

I have more ideas in the pipeline—blogging is fun!
