Spring Decluttering and Weekend Home Styling Tips

My daughters and I spent yesterday doing some spring tidying. The sun came out and we felt motivated. When Courtney moved into our lower level a couple of weeks ago, we had to rearrange a few rooms. We used that transition as a chance to pare down and get better organized. I’ve been clearing out closets and drawers throughout the house and using the dining room as a temporary staging area — but all the random items piled on the table were driving me crazy. We finally cleared it off on Friday.

I posted a timelapse video of our dining room tidy on Instagram (it’s saved in my highlights if you follow me). I wanted to embed it here, but it won’t display unless you’re logged into Instagram, so I’ll upload it to YouTube instead and share it next week. Isn’t it oddly satisfying to watch cleaning videos? Maybe the clip will inspire a cleaning spree in your home when you see it.

PS — Part three of my self-care series will go up next week!
