Every year around this time it surprises me how quickly the holidays arrive. Christmas is only about ten weeks away, and suddenly my to-do list looks a lot longer than it did last month.
Anyone else realizing they aren’t quite ready?

Before Christmas comes Thanksgiving, and this year I’m hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house. Once I realized how little time I had to prepare, I started shopping online for a few items I’ll need for our home and table.
That’s when I found the sweetest collection of holiday baking gear — whimsical animal measuring cups, matching measuring spoons, and a charming pie plate. They’re completely adorable. I’ve always loved quirky animal-themed kitchen items and fun baking pieces, even though I don’t bake as often as I’d like. I also noticed a set of festive spatulas that made me smile.
Update: there are even more pieces I hadn’t noticed at first — tea towels, mugs and monogram mugs, an oven mitt, an apron, juice glasses, a serving platter, a creamer, a sugar pot, a tea set, a cookie jar… I’m obsessed with the whole collection.
