Last year’s Christmas House

With the festive season here, I’m sharing five recent Amazon finds and gift ideas I’ve been using around my home.

Below are sources for reference — each item is pictured with extra ideas and tips.

Box of non-shattering clear ornaments (great to fill with botanicals and moss)
Red berry branches in three sizes (longer stems, shorter stems, and very short stems)

I’m always adding useful and pretty items to my Amazon storefront for easy browsing.

Here are five recent items I purchased from Amazon that I love:

1. Candle Snuffer

I mostly use battery-operated candles, but I still enjoy real candlelight occasionally. Since I’m short, blowing out mantel candles can be awkward, so this inexpensive candle snuffer has been so handy. It’s practical and looks charming on the mantel — also a clever addition to a candle gift set.

2. Shatter-proof Fillable Ornaments

With puppies and little ones in the house, I wanted a safer alternative to glass ornaments. These shatter-proof, fillable clear ornaments are perfect for adding botanicals or moss. The opening is small, so soft, pliable materials work best. They’re fun to make and would be thoughtful, handmade gifts.

I’m planning a crafting session soon to fill several — they’re a simple way to create personal, seasonal decorations.

3. Berry and Evergreen Branches

I added red berry branches to mix with my greenery this year. I purchased them in different lengths and sizes to layer naturally in wreaths, garlands, and arrangements. Having multiple stem lengths makes styling much easier.

For very short accents, I also ordered extra-small berry stems that can be tucked into wreaths or wrapped around garlands for extra detail. I paired the berries with evergreen branches and some dried eucalyptus stems for texture.

4. Round and Oval Photo Frames

These bow-detailed oval and round frames are lovely for family photos and make sweet holiday gifts for moms and grandmas. I picked up both shapes to display around the house.

Bonus idea: a digital frame is another thoughtful gift — we gave one to my parents and it quickly became their favorite present.

I’m collecting frames now so I’ll have special spots for photos of my grandbabies over the holidays. You’ll find more frames I like saved in my storefront collections.

5. Paper Snowflake Garland

I can’t wait to drape these cute paper snowflake garlands in windows and over doorways. They have a compact size and come already strung, which makes them easy to hang and arrange. They remind me of the large paper snowflakes I’ve used for years but are even simpler to display.

Finnegan is especially curious about them — I’m excited for his first Christmas and seeing how he reacts to the decorations.

BONUS GIFT IDEA

If you’re shopping for dog lovers, check out the dog-focused category in my storefront. We enjoy activity puzzles and other pet essentials for Finnegan and Lily, and I’ve saved many favorite pet items there for easy gift ideas.

Happy shopping and decorating, friends!
