Let’s bring back the 31 Day Love Your Home Challenge!
I’ve always loved the small, everyday things that make a home feel cozier, more comfortable, and more welcoming. Right now, as many of us spend more time at home, those simple comforts can help bring a sense of calm and routine. Our daily habits and social life have shifted, and many of us are adjusting to new ways of working and living. With uncertainty and stress around, tending to our homes and ourselves feels especially important.
Five years ago this month my first book, the New York Times bestseller Love The Home You Have, was published. It’s hard to believe it’s been five years, but I’m grateful the ideas in the book continue to help people create more joy and peace at home. Recently someone told me they were rereading the book and that it brought normalcy and comfort to their days — that kind of feedback inspired me to bring this challenge back.
At the back of Love The Home You Have there’s a “31 Day Love Your Home Challenge.” Each day offers a practical task, a small project, or a cheerful idea to help you fall in love with your home. These activities are simple and can be done even while staying at home, or adapted to fit your current circumstances.

E-book Sale! Love the Home You Have, and Make Room for What You Love are only $2.99!
If you don’t already own the book, the ebook version of Love The Home You Have is currently discounted to $2.99, as is my other book Make Room for What You Love. They’re available through major ebook retailers and make great companions for this challenge. I recommend having a copy for inspiration as you work through the daily suggestions.

The 31 Day Love Your Home Challenge!
If you’d like to join the challenge, there are several ways to participate. Start with your copy of the book and follow the daily prompts, or join the community and share your progress with others. The goal is simple: small, manageable steps that help you appreciate and care for your home.
Each day’s activity from the challenge will be posted in The Inspired Room Community. If you choose, share photos of your home as you complete the day’s task. You can also follow the daily prompts on Instagram stories for a quick, visual way to keep up with the challenge.
You’re welcome to return to this blog post and leave a comment when you complete a challenge — we’d love to hear about it. If you want to share photos, post them in the Facebook group or on your social media, since the blog comments don’t support images.
Share your daily Love Your Home challenge on social media to inspire others and brighten newsfeeds with homemaking ideas. Use the hashtags #lovethehomeyouhave and #loveyourhomechallenge so others can find your posts, and tag @theinspiredroom to connect with the community.
I’m excited! Let’s do this.
